WHERE IS TECABOCA?
A well-kept secret comfortably hidden from the hassles of day-to-day city
life, Tecaboca is situated on over 100 acres in the Texas Hill Country,
along Johnson Creek, which is a tributary of the Guadalupe River.

Tecaboca is located three miles south of
Mountain Home, approximately 15 miles northwest of Kerrville on Highway 27.
You may reach Tecaboca by traveling through Kerrville on Sidney Baker
(Highway 16) directly to Highway 27, where you go right (still Highway 27).
Stay on Highway 27 (Junction Highway) for approximately 12-13 miles. Tecaboca is the
first entrance on the left immediately after the roadside lookout and
rest area on the left. You may also come by way of Interstate Highway
10, and use exit 490 or exit 492.
Once you turn into the entrance road, you
will find that you are heading down into the valley. As you approach
Tecaboca's facilities, you will see that the road heads across the
spillway of our dam! Yes, it can seem intimidating, but it is
safe! For fifty years, drivers ages 16 to 80+, in cars and trucks of
every shape and size have crossed the spillway! Go ahead and drive
over the water, and do not stop on the road. Welcome to
TECABOCA!
