Friendly, Welcoming and Peaceful: these are words that describe Deacon Denis as well as the Retreat Center he has come to care so deeply for the past two years.  Deacon Denis came to Tecaboca with 20 years experience with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. His business acumen has helped revitalize Tecaboca and his knowledge of infrastructure is helping to bring Tecaboca to the forefront as a Marianist Retreat Center. Denis' vision for Tecaboca is as spiritual as it is material, and his love of the land and stewardship of it is evident in the recent improvements. He was ordained a Deacon in the  Archdiocese of San Antonio in 1987. 

Harold (Sonny) Kaufhold came to Tecaboca after 20 years with the City of Kerrville, most recently as  the Chief Building Inspector.  His understanding of young boys and teens has helped him keep the Boys Camp growing. Sonny also is active in Jail Ministry and other social justice issues.  A man of many talents with a love of the Lord, Sonny is a valuable asset to the retreat center. He will begin his Diaconate Formation in the fall of 2003.

Carolyn Dean has been the office manager for Tecaboca for three years. She has been the glue that has kept the office open and running. In addition to assisting the executive director, Carolyn is Tecaboca's bookkeeper and reservations manager.  In her free time she is also the bookkeeper for her husband Randy Dean, an area contractor.   Wife and mother, keeper of the numbers, another valuable asset to Tecaboca.

The most recent addition to the staff,  Richard McCabe comes to Tecaboca after 30 years with the VA Hospital. His knowledge of maintenance is exceptional. Richard works at all times to keep things working well and smoothly for the camps and the retreats. His ability to design and work with wood is an art. He is also sought after as a Dutch Oven Cook and has been active in the local association. Richard is a man of many talents who is an asset to Tecaboca.
